The cheese dairy has changed its company name. MEGGLE continues to invest in the factory in Altusried.

Stegmann Emmentaler Käsereien GmbH is trading under a new name with immediate effect. The company, which has been part of the MEGGLE Group since May 2021, now operates as MEGGLE Cheese GmbH. From now on it will be clear in the external appearance that the dairy belongs to the traditional Wasserburg company.

"For consumers, the name MEGGLE stands for the highest quality. We are using our strong brand and making MEGGLE Cheese GmbH competitive for the future as a producer of high-quality Emmentaler," explains Matthias Oettel, CEO of MEGGLE Group GmbH. Matthias Oettel adds that the lean organisational structure and the synergies with the company headquarters in Wasserburg will also ensure this. Together with Ferenc Tahy, he continues to manage the business of MEGGLE's new cheese division.

Ferenc Tahy is in charge of the business at the location: "Since the acquisition, we have been investing heavily in the plant and the technical equipment in Altusried, as announced. We will continue to clear the investment backlog of the past years and optimise the product range and sales channels in the long term. In the future, the administration, which is currently still located in Kempten, will be relocated to the production site. All 200 employees feel the support of MEGGLE."

MEGGLE Cheese GmbH is another company that carries the name of the corporate group with MEGGLE. In December 2021, the production site in Gebesee (Thuringia) had been renamed MEGGLE Bakery GmbH.
