MEGGLE apprentices assume responsibility
It is holiday time in Bavaria. Pupils are looking forward to the time off from school. But that also means that parents have the task to find a suitable holiday care for the children. Once again, the parents can profit from a collaboration between Wasserburg’s multigenerational house (MGH) and the dairy company MEGGLE.
It is a special day for Magda, Leo and Benedikt. The MEGGLE apprentices did not go to their usual workplace, they went to Wasserburg’s district Burgau. More precisely to the multigenerational house, an institution of social interaction. In the Easter holidays the apprentices take care of young pupils, whose parents are at work during the free days.
The dairy company MEGGLE regularly provides some additional employees for the multigenerational house. “We are very happy that MEGGLE brings us once again six motivated apprentices in the Easter holidays. Because of this we are able to offer a lot of care services in the holidays”, describes Maria Hessdörfer, Head of the MGH in Wasserburg.
Usually the MEGGLE apprentices work in the laboratory, in the office or in the workshop. In the Easter holidays they are painting, playing with children and preparing a common lunch.
For MEGGLE it has a high importance that its apprentices voluntarily assume social responsibility - also beyond their regular working environment.
