Toni Meggle: Chairman of the Supervisory Board

After completing his schooling, Toni Meggle first trained to become a dairy foreman. This was followed by training as an industrial administrator and the acquisition of extensive business expertise at the Management Centre Europe (MCE) in Brussels. By the age of 29, Toni Meggle was already working alongside his father as a full partner in the company. Under his leadership, the family-run business expanded its operations from its former domestic focus to become an international enterprise, with core competencies in the production of butter and speciality butters, baguettes and functional powdered milk products.

Marcus Hormuth

On March 1st 2018 Marcus Hormuth joined the Management Board of MEGGLE AG and is responsible for Functional Products.

Marcus Hormuth was born on 5th August 1970 and studied Business Administration at University of Regensburg. He graduated from Murray States University Kentucky (USA) with an MBA degree.

After a trainee programme at Peek & Cloppenburg KG in Düsseldorf he joined the dairy company MEGGLE in autumn 2000.

Mr Hormuth started his career as Sales Manager for Functional Products at headquarters in Wasserburg. From 2003 he was responsible for the new MEGGLE site in Singapore. 2009 he moved to White Plains (New York), where he established and managed MEGGLE USA Inc. as General Director and Treasurer.

After more than four years as Director for International Sales at Street One GmbH, Mr Hormuth returned to MEGGLE in March 2018 as board member.

Matthias Oettel

On 1st March 2018 Matthias Oettel joined the Managing Board of MEGGLE AG. He is responsible for Consumer Products.

Matthias Oettel was born on 9th November 1965. He graduated as an engineer for construction technology from TU Chemnitz.

After university Mr Oettel started his career at Danone. In more than 15 years he gained experience in several key positions in Sales.

From 2004 Mr Oettel worked for Bel Deutschland GmbH as Country Sales Director.

He moved to Nöm International AG in Austria, where he was appointed as Member of the Board. In 2012 he joined Zott SE & Co. KG. Until most recently Matthias Oettel was the responsible Director Sales & Marketing for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and for Northern, Western and Southern Europe of Zott.

Dr. Franz Mayer

On 1st July 2014 Dr. Franz Mayer was appointed to the Management Board of Molkerei MEGGLE Wasserburg GmbH & Co. KG. He is responsible for the Raw Material Purchasing department.

Dr. Franz Mayer was born in Peterskirchen/Traunstein rural district on 13th November 1956.

After acquiring his Abitur (A-level equivalent), he completed his agricultural education and graduated as an ‘Agriculturalist’ in October 1978.

Dr. Mayer subsequently studied Agricultural Sciences at the TU Munich with a focus on Dairy Sciences and graduated with a Diplom-Agraringenieur (Agricultural Engineer) degree in 1983.

Thereafter he worked for one year as an engineering consultant for the dairies in Baden-Württemberg. On 1st May 1984 Dr. Mayer joined Molkerei Wasserburg GmbH & Co. KG as a manufacturing consultant.

In June 1992 he completed his qualifications with a doctorate in Agricultural Sciences, taken alongside his career.

In November 1993 Dr. Mayer was promoted to Head of Raw Material Procurement.

From 1st January 2007, until his appointment as Director, he served on the company’s Management Board.
