MI MEGGLE International was founded as a platform for the export of our functional dry products. In order to further expand international trade relations in this area, we opened our own sales offices. Our main aim is to develop and expand new business structures through all the companies and partners within the group.
Our Japanese subsidiary, MEGGLE Japan Co. Ltd., which is located in Tokyo, was founded back in 1977. Within a short period of time we became the largest lactose supplier in Japan. MEGGLE Intertrade GmbH in Vienna has represented us since 2002. One year later we responded to the strong demand for pharmaceutical lactose in Asia by opening an office in Shanghai and setting up a subsidiary in Singapore.
In autumn 2003, the Excipients & Technology Business Group entered a joint venture with its Ukrainian partner JV Interchem. The result is "Formulab", a competence centre for research, development and design in the field of solid medicines, based in Odessa, Ukraine.
