MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2023: Application phase started
After a break due to the pandemic, the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award returns in 2023. The prize, worth a total of 50,000 euros, will offered by the MEGGLE Group and awarded to the winners at a ceremony on October 27, 2023 in the Wasserburg am Inn town hall.
The MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award is aimed at founders with their company offices in the regions of southeastern Upper Bavaria, Altötting, Berchtesgadener Land, Ebersberg, Erding, Mühldorf am Inn, Rosenheim and Traunstein, and companies founded between 2013 and 2020. With the help of an independent jury, the vbW (‘Association of Bavarian Business’) sifts through the applications and selects the three winners based on transparent evaluation criteria. In addition to the prize money for their placement, they also benefit from the media attention and the associated development of new customers or target groups.
The award ceremony in the Wasserburg town hall will be moderated by Alexander Mazza. The presenter, who has worked in front of the camera for ARD, ZDF and Pro7, among others, became well known to the general public with his confident and entertaining presentation and shows such as ‘Brisant, TAFF and Mona Lisa’. Mazza previously worked with MEGGLE for the first time last year, at the company’s 135th anniversary event.
This year’s guest of honour will be Wolfgang Bosbach, who is considered one of the most prominent and popular German politicians due to his authenticity and great expertise. Bosbach was a member of the German Bundestag for 23 years, from 1994 to 2017, Deputy Chairman of the Union parliamentary group from 2000 to 2009 and Chairman of the Interior Committee of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2015.
Guests of honour at the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award in recent years have included, among others, the Bavarian Minister-President Dr. Markus Söder, the economist Prof. Dr. Hans-Werner Sinn and the President of the Bavarian State Parliament Ilse Aigner.
